humble's blog | |"A Sangha is a community of resistance, resisting the speed, violence and unwholesome ways of living that are prevalent in our society. Mindfulness is to protect ourselves and others. A good Sangha will lead us in the direction of harmony and awareness. The substance of the practice is most important. The forms can be adapted."

Is he a comedian or a Monk
I think he's funny.
But he should not be like this from beginning to end.
He should remember that he's a Monk.
LOLZ
Interesting. I can see why this would bring up a lot of reaction in people. I can also see why this is important to watch and listen to. There is a point when he implores you to listen and pay attention in those moments when faced with something you don't like. This is great!
This guy is practicing
This guy is practicing abusive mind control on his flock. Shame, guilt are tools of control. Religious groups are places where these arts are practiced on unsuspecting citizens. The worst part of it is people are probably giving him money to make them feel like crap.
When I first watched this I
When I first watched this I was very shocked. I have never heard a monk talk in such a manner, it seemed unusual due to the tone of voice he was using. However, one day I was having a disagreement with my spouse and I heard Tsem Tulku Rinpoche repeating (very loudly) my thoughts in the same manner. I then realized how childish I was being and how irrational that thought was. Could you imagine if some one else could point out your thought pattern and really show you how it sounds from a different point of view?!
I felt so silly for having those thoughts, I felt wiser for recognizing it, in awe of how awesome monks are and had a deeper understanding for the many different forms of the dharma.
You Have Got To Be Kidding Me
seriously?!!! WHY SO RUDE AN OFFENSIVE? why is he preaching shame? I find his antics embarrassing to watch, like a spoiled child making a spectacle of himself, very sad.
Dear Lil Buddhist, To
Dear Lil Buddhist,
To criticize a monk, especially a High Lama such as H.E. Tsem Rinpoche... already shows your level of practice... I'm not criticizing you, but it's just the fact.
If you find this embarrassing to watch... well, then you'll find it embarrassing to watch your own attitude or for that matter, everyone else's attitude. Why? Because the Lama shows us who we really are, he portrays in such a way to show us how we usually react to almost everything around us. Things that we do, we don't notice due to our selfcherishing mind... so he is forced to show it to us, and then only will we realize 'ic... this is how i've reacted all the time' and then change our habits. This is the kindness of the lama...
I do not blame you for expressing such thoughts... most of the time, without the wisdom or knowledge, we can't see through that what the lama does is actually to benefit others.
You're a good person, the fact that you're finding Dharma means you've realized certain things in life requires spirituality, and i rejoice for that thought as not many people have it... However, do read up and widden your knowledge, contemplate on it to convert it to wisdom... it will definitely benefit you, as it had benefitted many others.
Please remember: "To disparage the Guru is to disparage all the Buddhas... and to have ill thoughts of the Guru (whom is the Buddha in flesh) destroys aeons of merits..."
I wish you well... take care
Your "level of practice"
Your "level of practice" don't look so good, either... eh, daddio / babbio?

so many people can not travel
so many people rely on the stuff
they are shoved from every where about
time someone intervened and suck a little dharma
into the mathematical cracks that are lacking
in the pockets of all of the people

in the future

so you may find a way everything will move everyone and everything
affecting them in the correct direction

in samsara burning up
all the limited
resources for no benefit of our grandchildren

Tsem Tulku Rinpoche
We all project our self flaws on to others. Have mercy.
01:15 Tsem Tulku Rinpoche preens his hair
That's the first time I've seen a monk preen his hair!
